Setting up PostHog's pricing in under 12 mins

In this video, we set up PostHog's pricing model on the Togai platform.

PostHog’s pricing structure is outlined as follows:

1. Subscription Fees:

  • PostHog offers a free plan as well as paid plans, including a "less expensive" plan and a "teams" plan.
  • The paid plans have a fixed subscription fee, with the "ridiculously cheap" plan at $0 and the "teams" plan at $450 per month.

2. Usage-Based Fees:

  • In addition to the subscription fees, PostHog charges usage-based fees for the different modules.
  • The usage-based fees have tiered pricing, with the first tier being free and subsequent tiers having increasing per-unit costs.
  • The tiers and per-unit costs vary for each module, such as events, recordings, feature flags, A/B testing, and surveys.

3. Named Licenses:

  • PostHog also offers a "named license" option, where each project is assigned a unique identifier, and the usage is tracked accordingly.
